These are some of the most highly anticipated games of the week in Illinois:

 

Champaign Central (3-0) vs. Bloomington (2-1)

Central, No. 10 in Class 5A, has given up just 23 points this season. Bloomington averages 30 points a game.

 

Lockport (3-0) at Lincoln-Way East (3-0)

Lockport is playing like a power again after back-to-back 4-5 seasons. LW is ranked third in Class 3A by Coachesaid.com.

 

Marian Catholic (3-0) vs. St. Joseph (1-2)

Marian Catholic went 1-8 last year. Now they are in a battle with St. Viator for East Suburban Catholic lead.

 

South Elgin (3-0) vs. St. Charles East (1-2)

South Elgin's program started in 2006, and the school had never won more than three games in a season before this one.

 

Naperville Central (3-0) at Wheaton-Warrenville South (2-1).

Central is No. 6 in Class 8A, WWS is No. 4 in 7A and still trying to recover from loss at Maine South two weeks ago.

 

Salt Fork (3-0) at Millford/Cissna Park (3-0)

Unbeatens in big small school, downstate matchup.

 

 

North Chicago (0-3) at Zion-Benton (0-3)

Coming back from a one-game suspension, the Warhawks look to turn their season into a positive experience, starting with this rivalry game.

 

Flanagan (3-0) vs. Fieldcrest (1-2)

The Fieldcrest Knights ended Flanagan's unbeaten season in Week 4 last year. let's see if they do it again.

 

 

Williamsville (3-0) at Auburn (3-0)

Last year Auburn won this game 49-0. Two unbeatens, looking to make names for themselves in state eyes.

 

Oak Forest (3-0) at Lemont (3-0)

Lemont is on top of the coachesaid.com rankings in Class 6A.  Oak Forest, ranked eighth, hopes to knock them off their pedestal.
