A trip to Jackson in October is nothing new to the Our Lady Academy (OLA) Crescents. The Crescents won their fourth straight Class I final today at A.E. Wood Coliseum in Clinton. OLA continued their dominance with a 3-0 win over Bay High in the semi-finals. They faced Center Hill in the finals and won in 4 sets. Center Hill defeated Lafayette County 3-0 to advance to the finals.
In Class II, Lake Cormorant (29-5) clinches the state title with a 3-0 win over Long Beach. In the semi-finals, Lake Cormorant beat Hernando 3-1. It took the Bearcats five games to adavance to the finals over Vancleave.
In Class III action, the Tupelo Golden Wave won the state title with a 3-2 win over Hancock. With the closest game of the tournament, the Golden Wave won game five 15-11 over the Hawks.
